JLM Strategic Talent Partners is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in the construction industry to be a part of a major project in Los Angeles, California.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a major project with a leading company in the industry with tremendous career growth.n n Responsibilitiesn Work with project managers and field staff to generate construction documents Research, gather and collect data to show progress and current costs to stakeholders Coordinate with the business department, field engineers and subcontractors to obtain documents and track costs Review and perform document control to maintain updated records Analyze cost data to create time and materials cost packages Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and validity prior to payment Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accurate data and G/L account allocation Communicate with other departments internally to follow-up on vendor invoice issues and discrepancies Process check requests and expense reimbursement reports Maintain vendor files and accounts payable documentation Review vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies Assist with other projects and ad hoc requests as needed Assist with payroll entry/reporting as well as union reporting Perform additional assignments per supervisor”s direction May type correspondence, checks, reports as workload requires n n Requirementsn 1-2 years business school, accounting training or minimum 1 year accounting experience Time & Material billing experience required Accounts Payable experience required Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
