Accounting Generalist – Thompson & Tommie Hotels
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. Must demonstrate strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and exhibit composure and professionalism while under pressure. Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting constant deadlines and maintaining strong attention to details.
General Cashier Functions:
- Assists with cash management for assigned F&B Outlets
- Posts daily sales, cash deposits, and bank transfers
- Prepares daily cash deposits and handles petty cash
- Providing change for staff
Accounts Receivable Functions:
- Post invoices and reconcile vendor statements
- Prepares allocations for multi-location invoices
- Selects checks for weekly check run
- Works with third-party accounts payable company to reconcile vendor accounts
- Responds to any immediate vendor requests
General Duties:
- Assists with general accounting inquiries
- Assists with ad-hoc project
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multi-entity Restaurants, or Hospitality accounting and/or finance is preferred
Experience with CTUIT/COMPEAT, BirchStreet System, and Sage Intacct is a plus
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
This position will interface with various departments.
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be proficient with MS Office including strong knowledge of Excel, and have experience working with an integrated general ledger system package.
