Absence, Disability Management and Life Associate

As an Absence, Disability Management and Life (ADML) Associateyou will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, financing andongoing management of group life, disability and broader absence management/ time off programs.You will serve as the lead project manager on select projects, interface with vendors and keyclients internally and externally, create client deliverables, and ensure quality standards aremet.

– and long-term disability benefits, leave of absence programs, vacation/paidtime-off, sick leave, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance and relatedprograms; sample projects include:ADML benefit plan analysis, design and cost savingsstrategiesVendor procurement, negotiation andoptimizationAudits of vendor performance (financial andoperational)Family and medical leave program developmentPerform financial analyses including developing pricing andemployee contributions strategies, modelling plan design, evaluating funding alternatives andcalculating reservesConduct benchmarking studies and other research; providevalue added analyses and summariesDesign, distribute and evaluate responses to surveys andRFPsAnalyze and compare vendor products, services and contractsconduct onsite auditsPartner with Consultants to deliver superior projectmanagement on select clientsBuild relationships internally and collaborate effectivelyon cross-functional teamsReview analytical work, mentor and develop junior levelstaffContribute to the development of new intellectualcapitalTheRequirements3+ years’ experience dealing with the financials of groupdisability plans gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm alternatively large groupdisability underwriting or claims management experience gained at a carrierServe as project manager and day to day contact for clients;materially contribute to project plan creation and delivery to ensure progress againstestablished objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standardsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyand produce quality deliverables on time and within budgetFlexibility and proven ability to identify and resolveissuesStrong client service orientation and ability to respond toall communications effectively and in a timely mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter attitude and ability to work individually andas part of a teamStrong analytical, creative and integrativeskillsDesire to mentor/develop more junior staffBachelor’s degree required, preferably with significantquantitative courseworkState Life and Health license required within 90 days ofjoiningEOE, including disability/vetsThis employer is a corporate member ofmyGwork, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals,graduates, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
