Bicycle Transit Systems (Bike Transit) was established in 2013 and currently operates bike share systems in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

The Station Technician (Tech) assists with the maintenance of stations within their operation network.
The Station Technician will ensure that stations are fully functional in accordance with our service levels with strong focus on uptime and device functionality (card readers, touch screens and dock points).
The Station Tech will be a courteous driver who understands the importance of safe driving.
This is a public-facing position where interactions with citizens occur daily.
The ability to remain cordial, calm, and professional during these interactions and the ability to de-escalate potential hostile situations is required.
Core Responsibilities: Ensure 24/7 station functionality and operability.
Provide regular station and electronic maintenance.
Open, close and respond to maintenance ticket.
Perform regular assessments of ticket system; ensures ticket queue is cleared in a timely manner.
Follow procedural guidelines and company policies for all work performed.
Respond to direction from Dispatch to resolve urgent needs.
Interacts with bike share passholders and the public in a friendly and professional manner.
Work under the guidance of Lead Field Tech and/or Operations Manager.
Additional Responsibilities: Open and close warehouse.
Coordinate with Dispatch regarding priority of tickets and communicate consistently with Dispatch while in the field.
Provide support to Dispatch and Field Techs regarding technical issues at stations.
Maintain the integrity of the overall system.
Respond to direction from Dispatch to resolve urgent needs.
Fill-in for system needs in Field Tech or Dispatch role.
Communicate with Lead Station Technician about van mechanical and safety issues.
Communicate with other staff and supervisors to affect improvements.
Assist with station installations and relocations as directed by Implementation Manager.
Attend training lead by Head Station Tech and demonstrate continued comprehension on programming, repair, and maintenance of bike share stations.
Give and receive feedback to other team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Daily Tasks: Check Fiix for any assigned, pending, or late tasks.
Monitor station voltages in site.
Clean station and bicycles of graffiti, sticker, grime during each station visit.
Sweep, collect and dispose of debris in and around stations Attend daily Operations meeting.
Ride E-trike to perform dai ly tasks .
Check and respond to email, and google calendar invites Weekly Tasks: Catch up and clear Fiix queue.
Test batteries.
Test “malfunctioning” hardware.
Process RMAs.
Take inventory of all supplies.
Clean vehicles and keep S tation T ech area clean & orderly.
Participate in weekly meetings.
Monthly Tasks: Attend monthly system wide Station Tech meetings.
Organize warehouse as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Valid driver license and clean driving record that passes insurance requirements for the company.
Computer hardware, electronics and/or electrical experience required.
College degree preferred in related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Technical and mechanical aptitude.
Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer aptitude, and command of various software/productivity tools.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all work performed.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to identify and communicate needed improvements.
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Ability to follow instructions, respond to managements direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
Excitement and interest in bike sharing.

Physical Requirements and Special Demands: Frequently bend, stoop, and twist throughout the day Requires the ability to regularly lift objects up to 50+ lbs and carry objects of this weight for distances up to 150 feet Requires the ability to perform work while standing for prolonged periods of time.
Repetitive motion required of the writs, hands, or fingers occasionally throughout the work day.
May require working and riding a bicycle outdoors in various temperatures including rain, cold and heat conditions.
Comfortable driving, stopping and working in busy outdoor urban environments.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with company and department policy.
This position may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week.
