Our client is a major manufacturer of spare parts for the Aerospace field. We are searching for a Sheet Metal Technician to join our client’s main operation in the city of North Hollywood.
As the Sheet Metal Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and fabricating sheet metal parts and assemblies. Your responsibilities include fabricating assemblies/components as shown on the work order, and accepting projects in process from either your Warehouse Lead or the Warehouse Manager.
You will occasionally work on other duties that are assigned. Please make sure to pay attention to the formations assembled.
This is a full time, temp to hire position. First shift, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Monday to Friday. Benefits will be provided once hired perm. Includes Health, Vision and Dental.
Job Requirements:
This is what we are looking for in candidates:
- You have a High School or higher level education
- You have worked in manufacturing before, preferably in Mechanical Assembly, CNC Operation or similar
- Any previous experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or military aircraft structure repair is a huge plus
- You are familiar with close tolerance measuring devices (dial calipers, micrometers, indicators and other measuring shop equipment)
- You know how to utilize power tools
- As a condition of employment, you may be asked to take and pass a background check and/or drug test.
