Quality Control Technician

Description Perform, analyze, and document standard quality control tests and procedures on raw materials Perform, analyze, and document standard quality control tests and procedures on production batches and finished products Utilize analytical and troubleshooting skills to assist production and/or maintenance personnel regarding process applications to ensure conformance to established standards and specifications.

Inspect and recommend approval or rejection of incoming raw materials.

Perform in-process QC inspections to evaluate conformance with established standards, including routine batch and weight audits.

Maintain accurate and detailed quality assurance documentation in accordance with established department standards.

Maintain and perform regular updates to Quality database.

Operate mechanical and electronic equipment as required in connection with testing and production procedures.

Must have color checking and color matching ability.

Must be able to perform all functions to check and adjust colors properly with little or no supervision.

Collect Raw Material samples for evaluation.

Handle a fast paced work environment.

Ability to work with people.

Must have the ability to size formulations as necessary, or adjust existing batches due to over-pulls or other needed requirements, in accordance with production, lab, or other departmental needs.

Maintain Lab areas and equipment.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
