QC Technician

Seeking an enthusiastic QA/QC Technician to join a great food manufacturing company!

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting with the daily QC functions of the Plant, to support Production in the processing of product in a sanitary and safe manner.

Will be responsible for monitoring company GMPs are followed, HACCP Program guidelines, and enforcing company SOPs.

Performs limited chemistry testing.

Plays an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department by documenting Production Line activities, supporting QC functions on the Production Floor and logging test results into the company LIMS.

Duties:
Performs limited chemistry testing to include pH, water activity, allergen / protein, ATP, color brix and salt.

Assist in monitoring and maintaining overall hygienic condition/GMPs.

Support the HACCP program by conducting HACCP Direct Observations.

Performs Sensory Evaluations.

Assist in monitoring and maintaining overall hygienic condition/GMPs of facility.

Conduct sampling finished product to meet requirements and analyze results to include quality testing, maintaining quality documentation per company SOPs.

Provides training and or training support to employees including new hires on proper PPE, GMPs, and SOPs.

Collaborates with the Production Supervisor to enforce company policies and SOPs on the Floor.

Assure that the sanitation activities are performed as prescribed in SSOPs.

Report any and all possible food safety hazards observed or perceived directly to Management Other duties as needed by Quality Management

Qualifications:
2 + years’ experience in performing QA/QC duties in the Food and Beverage industry or 4 + years as Production Lead or similar capabilities in the Food and Beverage industry.

Ability to multi-task effectively.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with Production Line employees and Supervisory staff Bilingual in Spanish ideal but not required.
