Lawncare Technician

Description Position Type: Full Time Reports to: Senior Technician Pay: With Pesticide License: $18-$26 production pay with opportunity for commission pay from sales Training: $18 Without Pesticide License: $17/hr till Pesticide License is obtained then promoted to $18-26 production pay Training: $17 Pesticide License: Upon hiring, a future employee with no pesticide has 2 opportunities to pass their Pesticide exam.

If failure occurs on the second try, employment will not be offered in the Weed Man Division.

As stated in mass.gov State Pesticide Regulations require that candidates failing the exam twice must wait three months before re-applying to take an exam.

After failing said exam three times, you must wait 1 year for re-applying.

The Lawn Care Technician will be responsible for providing professional lawn care services to residential and/or commercial clients, while always maintaining top quality client service.

Requirements: Job Duties: Provide basic lawn care services such as but not limited to: fertilizer, weed control, grub control, etc.

Provide lawn analysis quotes to potential clients.

Analyze and provide recommendations to improve the quality of a client&039;s lawn.

Complete all paperwork properly and in a timely manner.

Provide exceptional client service to existing and potential clients.

Knock on the client&039;s door before starting job and once service is completed.

Obtain at least one client referral or lead per week on average.

Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned truck and equipment.

Maintain a professional personal appearance.

Provide assistance in equipment repairs.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to meet the goals of the department.

Meet production goals for each round of applications.

Check in with fellow technicians for assistance in other routes Door to door canvassing (generates sales leads during Fall/Winter) Generate new leads and sales of new prospective clients and also by getting add-ons for existing clients.

Requirements: High school diploma Get and maintain Pesticide license A minimum of 6 months of client service or/and general labor experience Ability to interact with existing clients and potential clients in a friendly and professional manner Previous experience in lawn-care an asset but not required Able to work long hours during peak production times Monday
– Friday and Saturdays as needed Able to lift and carry 50 pounds Valid driver&039;s license Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills Able to work under minimum supervision Must pass background check Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Requires good manual dexterity Excellent stamina is required Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold Work hour&039;s 7:00am start work until daily assigned production is completed Monday through Friday and/or Saturday hours.

One 30-minute meal break for 6 hours worked and one ten-minute break in the morning and one ten-minute break in the afternoon during a work shift of at least eight hours.
