Starting Rate: $28.00 per hour
Successful GSE Mechanics will be able to:
- Maintains, services, and performs minor/major repairs and overhauls on all ground support equipment, such as portable stairs, fuel and diesel trucks, aircraft tugs, belt loaders, company automobiles, deck loaders, tow tractors, main deck loaders, lower deck loaders, cargo gas/electric tractors, etc.
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance servicing including ensuring the equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Refurbish ground support equipment as needed.
- Repair and maintain Perkins Diesel, Detroit Diesel, and Deutz Diesel engines.
- Possess a basic set of tools.
- Keep tools in toolbox for support equipment in safe and operational working condition.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need?
- A valid Driver’s License.
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience.
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances.
- To be punctual and commit to your assigned schedule.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
