Accentuate Staffing is assisting a leading developer in Durham, NC who is looking for an Engineering Test Technician to join their team.
This is a contract-hire opportunity working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities: Engineering Test Technician will receive test requirements from Hardware Engineers to execute Technician will perform reliability testing, configuring machines, performing product and subsystem testing, running machinery, and documenting test results Technician will build subsystems, fabricate wire harnesses, and create test benches Technician will test system maintenance Technician will support prototype assembly, testing procedures, and mechanical system troubleshooting Requirements: Candidates must have 3 years experience in mechanical fabrication, manufacturing, or assembly Candidates must have experience in building or assembling electromechanical systems, wire harnesses, custom cables, mechanical assembly, and disassembly following engineering procedures Candidates with experience with Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems, and LabView a plus Job Requirements: Develop test equipment for manufacturing or engineering purposes Providing engineering support to the manufacturing engineering team Assemble custom test equipment or fixtures for new test Determine test procedures and design of special test equipment Scale engineering drawings using computer Using electronic and mechanical test equipment Writing test reports based on test data and technician notes Interpreting engineering drawings for production personnel Perform maintenance of test equipment and facility equipment Assemble test process with supervision from design engineers or supervising test engineer Perform troubleshooting and repair of test equipment Preparing test vehicles for testing Execute automated test cases using validated test systems Maintain test equipment and tools Maintaining and solving test equipment problems Run complex test setups using high accuracy test equipment Maintaining test equipment to accomplish required tests Maintain test-related new product engineering laboratory documentation in database environment Support the design engineering group Provide technical engineering input/support
