Job Summary:
Become a key player in our team as a Social Media Intern! This remote role is for those with a knack for content scheduling, organization, and a pulse on social media trends, sprinkled with a touch of creativity and humor. Enjoy opportunities to join us on-site for content capture during events.
Your proficiency in basic video editing and content production is a plus, as you actively contribute to creating and evaluating engaging content. Go beyond the ordinary – actively mine for reactive content opportunities, craft innovative features, and seek opportunities to create new content.
This is a limited term internship position beginning in June 2024 through August 2024. The hourly wage for this role is $16.78.
Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with scheduling content Assist with organizing data into a calendar Must have working knowledge of trends in social media, creative touch, and sense of humor.Remote with availability to come on-site as needed to assist with content capture for events.Basic video editing skills a plus.Content production skills a plus.Weekly analysis of User-Generated Content (UGC) and reporting on culture.Mine for reactive content opportunities: finding/responding to a hot convo each week.Create content (develop innovative features & fixtures) and evaluate the results of content performance to inform future creation.Propose strategies to grow new and existing social pages.Provide support during shoots including the organization of concepts, directing requests, etc.Position Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
Community college, trade school, and university undergraduate or graduate students from the class of 2024 or 2025 in good academic standing.A minimum of 2.8 GPA.Social Media Enthusiast: A passion for social media trends, platforms, and emerging technologies.Organizational Skills: Ability to assist in scheduling and organizing content, maintaining social posting calendars, and ensuring timely execution.Creativity: A creative touch with a sense of humor to infuse engaging elements into content. RemoteWork Capability: Comfort and proficiency in working remotely, with the flexibility to attend on-site events as needed.Video Editing Skills: Basic video editing skills are preferred to contribute to the creation and enhancement of multimedia content.Content Production Skills: Demonstrated ability in content production, showcasing a keen eye for detail and storytelling.Analytical Mindset: Capable of conducting weekly analysis of User-Generated Content (UGC) and reporting on culture trends.Proactive Mindset: Ability to mine for reactive content opportunities, responding to hot conversations and staying ahead of trends.Innovative Thinking: Capable of creating innovative features and fixtures to keep our social media presence fresh and engaging.Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to provide support during shoots, organize concepts, and handle diverse responsibilities.Strategic Growth: Develop strategies for the growth of both new and existing social media pages, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach.

This internship is part of the Academy’s Gold Rising program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
