Job Description

Title: Operations – Marketing Assistant

Position Summary

This position is full-time with the marketing department of the Los Angeles structural engineering office of KPFF, located at the BLOC in Downtown LA. Due to Covid-19 we are currently working from home. However, when it is safe to reopen, this position will be working from our downtown office in at least 3 days per week alongside our marketing team.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with the timely processing of contracts and proposals

Assist in preparing qualifications packages by gathering, editing and delivering information requested by clients

Assist in the development of marketing collateral: plan and organize promotional brochures, presentations, recruiting material, advertisements, and others as needed

Back up point of contact for clients for project pursuits

Assist in the assembly of prime proposals

Attend pre-qualification meetings as needed

Assist in assembling awards submissions

Reports to the Marketing Director

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to prioritize

Ability to think critically, reason logically and synthesize information is essential

Ability to multitask

A natural sense of urgency

A friendly and welcoming demeanor

Detail oriented

Familiarity with Windows

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred

Good written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively

Good grammar skills, and fluency in English is required

Good interpersonal, planning, documentation and organization skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Qualifications

Associates degree or higher: marketing, business, communications, graphic design and architecture degrees are preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience is preferred

Experience in a the AEC industry is preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This job will occasionally allow for some responsibilities to be conducted remotely.
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
