Employee toy discount and free bagel Friday too!Opportunity: The International Coordinator, Girls Brands role is to be the key contact for all international marketing teams for MGA Girls brands, with the Global Brand Project Manager, leading cross-functional communication and collaboration of US and International leads and Distribution Partner teams across internal support centers of excellence (i.e., Product Development, Packaging, Sales, Legal, Finance) for brand management and agency partners (i.e., Entertainment, Marketing Services, Retail Marketing, Licensing) to support marketing strategies that deliver against our revenue goals and drive consumer demand. Develop and implement new processes with Global Brand Project Manager to improve communication & sharing of marketing and sales initiatives and assets across international markets while protecting MGA IP. Responsible for meeting international marketing teams’ needs in a fast paced and constantly changing environment with a solution-oriented mindset. As a member of the Girls Brand Team, this role will support cross-brand performance, support growth of brand equity and market share by helping activate consumer insights, industry trends and innovative entrepreneurship to think differently. The right candidate will help drive the Girls portfolio to build brands that surprise and delight consumers, helping support development and execution of projects that create engaging brand experiences and support the Global Brand Manager and each brand’s consumer communications and marketing strategies.Position RequirementsEducation/Experience:* Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, Finance, Math or related* 1-2 years of professional experience (or internship) preferably in the toy industry, brand management, retail buying, or marketing agency* Retail industry knowledge and passion for the toy industry required. Retail math or strong analytics background demonstrated.* Kids and/or Family marketing, Toy experience or quick turn fashion experience strongly preferred* Digitally native, social media savvy, especially as it pertains to influencers, advertising, campaignsSkills/Knowledge/Ability:* Motivated by challenges and possesses a robust sense of curiosity and creativity. Can-do attitude. Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required timeframes* Must manage multiple priorities with entrepreneurial, fast-paced action* Collaborative and a team player. Skills should include (but not limited to): working within Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and OneDrive, comfortable with PC operating systems, familiarity with A/V technology and setup.Must manage reasonable commuting distance to MGA Chatsworth HQ to support onsite business needs.Authority:* This role reports to an Associate Brand Manager or higherKey Result Areas and Activities:Cross-Functional Team Leadership* Assist Marketing leads as the central point of contact on all things brand related for International teams and International-related for cross-functional partners: Sales, Retail Marketing, Supply & Demand, Marketing Services, Entertainment, etc.* Support materials to educate and equip International teams on brand information (including Entertainment, Creative, Digital, Social etc.) and background that allows them to help create and execute programs that will drive consumer demand* Be a leader and a team player, solution-oriented with forward momentum and a sense of urgency to pull cross-functional players together to improve communication, collaboration & efficiencies.Other duties as assigned per business needs.Brand Management* Provide accurate materials to support sell-in to buyers, sales partners, and international marketing teams, including trade shows and showroom seasonal tentpoles. Present to internal stakeholders on behalf of the brand as an authority with confidence and presence.* Assist with international market product inquiries, collateral approval, and other day-to-day support needed* As needed, assist with the seasonal brand planning process; i.e., slot planning, white space opportunity analysis, product wave planning, price point analysis, NPD competitive data analysis. Ability to scrub details a MUST.Consumer & Retail Marketing Activation* Support regional plans in 360-marketing strategic and tactical triggers to drive consumer demand: TV advertising (creative development or advertising, media flighting, GRP/TRP, sponsorships), digital advertising and entertainment, YouTube, Instagram and other social channels* Assist with delivering assets for e-commerce, catalogs, retailer ads, and concept mock-ups, including A+ pages photos, videos, copy. Support PR event activations* Assist with the social strategy, copy approval, tentpole activation calendar and key trends for global consistency* Come with creative ideas to drive newness and innovative ways to efficiently marketCategory Management* Assist with the category analysis and become an expert in Girls toy categories; including but not limited to: Collectibles, Plush, Fashion Dolls, Nurturing Dolls, Large Dolls, Activities & DIY, Tween, Trend, Novelty, Fashion, Pre-school* Understand global trends and global category dominance in retail, e-commerce, and creative advertising activations of owned brands and key competitors worldwide. Manage up snapshot and elevator pitch to managementBudget, Retail Sales & Financial Analysis* Learn to analyze point of sales data to determine trends and key performance indicators. Synthesize data for executive summaries and elevator pitches to management and pull adhoc reports as needed. Learn to identify issues at early stages and propose potential solutions.* Support team to build compelling cases and competitive analysis based on NPD industry data to make recommendations and dominate competition* Demonstrate understanding of brand financials including inventory, forecasts etc. and understand implications to marketing investment, ROI and key activations
