Job Description

The League is looking for a marketing leader to relaunch our brand in a big way. Since being acquired by Match Group, we have been given the opportunity – and marketing budget – to scale the brand internationally, and we are looking for someone who can build our brand, find ways to reach new audiences, and take The League to the next level of growth.

This role will collaborate closely with our Chief Product Officer to build a roadmap that reaches more of the available audience and ensures that all customers are delighted by our products and services.

The League is entering a new phase of growth, now supported by Match Group, with the aim to grow our footprint & brand awareness in the US and expand to become an internationally recognized brand that stands for quality and fosters equal relationships around the globe.

The candidate will have excellent knowledge in both brand and performance marketing, drive the development, preparation and implementation of marketing strategies, as well as taking the ownership to achieve business goals.

The candidate will be working closely with our founder & CEO as well as onboarding & managing various agencies. The candidate must be a team player and a self-starter with the ability to provide innovative and unconventional ideas, insights and strategies to the business.

This is a remote position. We will consider candidates across the US.

How you’ll make an impact:

You will be the right hand to CEO with a particular focus on building out The League’s brand marketing efforts, managing external agencies (PR, creative, social media, influencer, etc), and building out our in-house marketing team.

You will set-up and implement the end-to-end marketing strategy and be responsible for achieving marketing targets for both brand & performance marketing in USA & abroad.

You will be responsible for the creation of annual and quarterly marketing budgets & plans that deliver against KPIs and drive the appropriate marketing mix including PR, brand, growth/performance and influencer marketing.  

You will oversee and/or partner with internal teams including brand creative, analytics, performance marketing, and PR/comms, Product, Engineering, Community, Product Design, etc

You will create and articulate an inspiring vision for the organization, not only for the areas you are directly responsible for, but the enterprise as a whole.

You have leadership experience in brand and performance marketing for premium consumer product companies.

You have demonstrated success fostering an environment of cross-functional collaboration and inclusivity while building and developing a world class team.

You are highly analytical and have the ability to build data-informed marketing strategies.

You have experience with performance marketing, mobile advertising & mobile attribution

You have 8+ years of marketing management experience, preferably from a brand-forward, consumer loved tech brand.  

You have extensive experience with the Growth marketing toolkit.

You are a strategy focused person experienced at creating and stewarding emotional / lifestyle

tech-first brands.  

You have an affinity for product partnership and collaboration. 

You have the ability to thrive in a scrappy, fast-paced, constantly changing environment & accompany strategic instincts with a ‘sleeves rolled up’ clear sense of purpose, execution and delivery. 

You have experience deploying eight figure marketing budgets and measuring ROI.

Experience in dating is a plus
