Head of Advertising

The Role:

The right candidate will find this role to be a chance to shape and build a core business unit in a fast-growing organization, together with the CBDO.  

Your responsibilities will cover both our Ad Network and Ad Sales strategy. You will be cultivating and expanding our relationships with strategic partners and build a systematic path forward.  

You will interface with stakeholders in and out of the organization, including senior management.
We are looking for you to engage in Direct/PMP Sales and Outreach to top tier partners. The role will grow to build further upon the existing team.  

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the CBDO, develop and own Company’s ad sales and ad network strategies including validating our product-market fit, develop go-to-market and pricing strategies
  • Oversee Ad Sales & Revenue Planning
  • Prospect, negotiate, and cultivate strategic partnerships with direct agencies, advertisers, networks, and publishers
  • Publisher Partner Growth & Expansion
  • Direct/PMP Sales and Outreach
  • Create the foundation to scale the Digital Advertising unit within the organization
  • Manage relationship to internal stakeholders to secure expansion budgets
  • Manage high level relationships with our network of publishers to increase and optimize on inventory.

Abilities & Skills:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in digital media sales
  • You have an existing agency and brands book of business and relevant contacts
  • You have an exceptionally strong commercial understanding of the Ad Tech space and revenue management
  • You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, where others see obstacles you see challenges, and you are able to think and operate creatively to overcome them
  • You’re a strategic communicator with the ability to work with business strategy teams as well as technical teams
  • You’re a self-starter with a proven ability to execute, both individually and as part of a team
  • You have a solid understanding of Ad Networks and are at ease and credible with senior sales and agency executives
  • Proven ability to gather and filter complex data, providing insights related to analytics and revenue creation
  • It’s a must that you love all things music
  • It would be a plus if you have a solid understanding of the music market and its complexity. Prior experience in the music industry is an advantage.
