ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

The Digital Marketing Specialist utilizes digital technologies to support the overall mission and goal of the Food Bank. The Digital Marketing Specialist serves as the functional administrator for digital advertising platforms including Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Business Manager, Choozle and other key tools. The Digital Marketing Specialist also supports the Food Bank’s organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) priorities, including the creation of optimized blog posts and web content.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Digital Marketing & Content Creation: Assist in the creation, maintenance and optimization of all digital advertising, including Meta/Facebook Business Manager (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads. Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Creative and Brand Coordinator to ensure message and brand consistency across digital platforms. Serve as the Functional Administrator for tools utilized by the Food Bank for SEO such as ahrefs/Moz, Keyword Planner, Search Console, Google Analytics, etc. Visit partner agencies and food distributions to gather content, and help with content creation to support the Food Bank’s content and inbound marketing strategies. Support the Marketing Content Manager in the creation of emails, web pages, blog posts and other communication assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Sciences, New Media, English or a related field, or work experience equivalent to these degree achievements.
1-3 years’ experience in a similar role. Non-profit experience preferred.
Superb interpersonal, written (including proofreading and editing), verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
Proficient in Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager.
Basic HTML knowledge. Medium or advanced HTML and CSS knowledge.
Proficient in the Adobe software suite, Google Apps suite (including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), Microsoft Office suite, and all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Experience with SEO systems (aHrefs, Moz, etc.) is preferred.
Enthusiasm with project management, specifically the Agile/SCRUM style is preferred.
Insured vehicle with valid California driver license.
