Chief of Marketing

Responsibilities

Company now seeks an experienced, innovative and collaborative marketing expert to lead the integrated clinical and academic enterprise’s marketing strategies, initiatives and efforts.

Reporting to Company senior leadership (the Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences; President, Company and Dean, David Geffen School of Medicine), the Chief of Marketing will lead a strategic and integrated marketing function that promotes, supports and elevates the reputation of the entire health system.  The Chief of Marketing will drive branding efforts, define and deliver messaging that enhances organizational success, and offer proactive counsel regarding marketing strategies, patient acquisition, customer experience, student and faculty recruitment, and digital innovation. As a full-time, onsite leader, the Chief of Marketing will work closely with the Chief of Communications, leading a collaborative team and cultivating successful partnerships with peers and key stakeholders in the organization to help ensure alignment of all marketing, communications and digital efforts.

Qualifications

  • Extensive and relevant industry experience with a proven record of accomplishment in marketing.
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating, influencing, and driving change within a complex organization.
  • The ability to build, lead and empower cohesive and effective teams.
  • Deep expertise in developing digital and social media strategies.
  • Experience in healthcare or academic medical center marketing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field; an advanced degree preferred.
