About the role:
Fuel Cycle is looking for its first Chief Marketing Officer to lead our team into the next phase of growth.
Reporting to the CEO, this person will shape Fuel Cycle’s brand awareness and digital growth strategy and lead the team by overseeing all aspects of brand, growth and customer.
The CMO will drive the marketing roadmap and strategic vision for Fuel Cycle and ultimately further the brand’s place in the market.

Where you’ll make an impact:
Growth Driver
Drive marketing strategy and execution across all major marketing, business, and product functions, further strengthening Fuel Cycle’s market relevance and recognition, and accelerating revenue growth.
Provide executive leadership for all product messaging, value propositions, competitive analysis and positioning, product launch management, pricing, GTM strategy, sales enablement, and customer insights to inform strategic campaigns that help drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
Customer Champion
Take a customer first approach and get a deep understanding of the personas who use our products, to constantly refine and articulate our value proposition, building a consistent brand strategy and hierarchy for multiple product lines.
Applies broad knowledge of the company’s product capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology, and emerging product/service opportunities.
Capability Builder
Design and drive comprehensive demand generation strategies integrating and leveraging tactics and tools including search engine marketing, email, webinars, events and social media.
Act as a data driven leader setting and providing ongoing reporting of KPI’s, metrics and ROI, translating this data to actionable insights and iterating as needed.
Ensures weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly data-driven reporting of marketing activity and results, guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
Develop & manage the marketing budget through comprehensive demand plans that allow for optimization to ensure activities are effective, efficient and deliver successful ROI metrics.
Build and lead a world class marketing organization by hiring, developing talent, and scaling the team to meet aggressive ROI-driven goals.
Lead cross functional collaboration with a variety of stakeholders across Marketing, Technology, Product, Partnerships, Sales, and Finance.
Must have excellent communication skills to ensure clarity and buy-in across all parts of the organization.
Chief Storyteller
Serve as a brand ambassador internally and externally by creating smart, engaging, and creative content/messaging to increasing overall brand visibility.
Act as both architect and steward of the brand by creating and telling brand stories deeply involving customers, to shape the Fuel Cycle narrative.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 10 years of well-rounded marketing and senior leadership experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Management, or related field of study
Deep understanding of the SaaS B2B marketing environment and evolving tools/platforms used to improve online presence
Strong digital knowledge and understanding of the Market Research/Consumer Insights industry, preferred
Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Pardot, SalesForce, etc
Prior experience leading and developing a strong team of marketers that will be critical to the growth of the company
Strong written verbal and written communications skills, including presenting to large groups of people and senior management
Proven experience and success across all disciplines of marketing (product, branding, strategy, social media, communications, business development)
