Canyon News is a unique, unbiased weekly newspaper headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA. We serve the hills of Los Angeles. Including, but not limited to, Bel Air, Malibu, Los Feliz, Woodland Hills, and Pacific Palisades.
We are looking to hire motivated, outgoing individuals to be advertising sales representatives. Your position entails selling print and online ad space. You will be cold calling local businesses throughout the hills of Los Angeles to see if they are interested in advertising in our newspaper. You will be working from your home office.
While working remotely, you will be guided and given support while learning proven formulas for success. But, we encourage you to work independently and create your own strategy based on your unique personality and skills. You will have a team ready to help and guide you with on-going coaching and support. This is a rare opportunity to take control of your work environment. For this position you must:
- Have a quiet place to work during the week
- Have the basics of a home office (printer, scanner (optional), fax (optional), phone with long distance calling)
- Be self motivated with a consistent work ethic
- Be able to work with a team
You will be required to:
- Attend weekly conference calls during your first week
- Start making cold calls on your first day
- Make 50-100 calls daily during your work hours, which you set (Monday-Friday)
- Commit to building a clientele base from the ground up
This position is strictly performance based. You will be an independent contractor. We offer a commission of 30% on all sales. Medical and dental insurance is available upon reaching your quota for 6 months.
