Job Description
Our client is expanding their California Workers Compensation Department and seeking to add a Remote Workers Compensation Litigation Claims Specialist. This role will consist of handling complex litigated California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must possess a strong knowledge of California Workers Compensation Law and have the ability to work remotely.
- Handle complex California Workers Compensation claims with minimal supervision and ?guidance from the manager.
- Handles catastrophic claims including traumatic head injury, spinal cord paralysis, severe burns, major amputations and fatalities.
- Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
- ? Provides direction to legal counsel and manages litigation process.
- Secures Medicare set-asides and uses structured settlements.
- Attend settlement conferences on serious injury claims.
Requirements
- 5 to 9+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.
- Must be well-versed in California Workers Compensation Law.
- Must have experience handling litigated files.
- Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
- High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits
- $90,000 to $105,000 annual base salary plus bonus
