Provide clinically informed program management to support community providers working with ODR participants.Essential Job FunctionsSupport ODR-contracted providers to assess, triage and address behavioral health/psychosocial needs of participants in ODR community based diversion programs. Implement professional social work services using harm reduction framework with competence conducting motivational interviewing; assessing and triaging mental health, substance use and health needs; and working with people who use drugs, people who engage in sex work, people experiencing homelessness and people who have been involved in the justice system.Provide oversight of community provider agency services, including monitoring service plans and progress with assigned ODR participants, identifying and troubleshooting service issues, and providing consultation to case managers and program managers.Collaborate with and provide modeling, training and technical assistance to community-based providers who work with ODR participants.Reviews records and information from case managers, health system and mental health system to support community providers in developing and following through with appropriate linkages to care.Work with the ODR Community Based Diversion team to develop, implement, oversee and evaluate clinically informed programs that serve ODR participants. Conduct assessments of ODR Clinical client’s psychosocial and service needs through interview and evaluation, review of medical and mental health records, and consultation with jail health and mental health care team members.Develop and implement individual or group therapeutic interventions for ODR participants based in harm reduction and motivational interviewing.Maintain documentation of social work activities, including assessments, service plans and interventions.JOB QUALIFICATIONSExperience, post Master’s degree in Social Work, in individual, group, or family psychotherapy assessment in a local government mental health agency or psychiatric hospital within the last six years.Education/ExperienceA Master’s degree* from an accredited school of social work.Certificates/Licenses/Clearances*A valid and active Associate Clinical Social Worker registration issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences. Master of Social Work graduates must become registered as an Associate Clinical Social Worker with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences*** within sixty (60) days from commencement of employment with the County of Los Angeles.Associate Clinical Social Workers must remain in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences for the duration of the waivers permitted by law.
