Description: Position Summary: The Office Worker is responsible for assisting management with administrative tasks including, but not limited to, ordering, data entry, filing, etc.
The Office Worker will be required to interact with customers, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
Essential functions and responsibilitiesof the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirementsand business needs.Essential Functions:Responsible for performing administrative functions including distributing mail, ordering and stocking supplies, answering phones, and greeting visitorsAssists unit management with clerical tasks in relation to accounting, payroll, receiving, and/or human resources including filing, data entry, record review and maintenance, etc.Greets customers, clients, and employees; answers inquiries or directs calls where necessarySchedules meetings and handles travel arrangements, expense reports, etc.Maintain office memos and informational postingsOperate technology, systems, and software such as voicemail systems, copy/scanners, personal computers, and MS OfficeOther duties and tasks as assigned by managerSupport the Sustainability Associate in developing, planning, coordinating and implementing activities including, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, workshops, short courses, clubs, shows, public events and other programs related to sustainability at UCI.
Both the manner in which these activities are organized, and the nature of their content should be geared towards achieving buy-in and habit transformation from student, faculty and staff community members.Assist the execution of sustainability events such as Weigh the Waste, Fair Trade Tuesday’s and other educational events.Represent Aramark’s sustainability programs to the public; attend professional meetings as appropriate; interface with external organizations to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized.
These requirements necessitate the ability to travel and meet regularly outside of business hours.
Qualifications: Prior administrative experience preferredMust have working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelDemonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detailRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 25 lbs.Requires frequent performing of repetitive motions with hands and/or arms
