The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking an Entry Level Unit Production Manufacturing Engineer to join the Unit Production Engineering Team located in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
Position Overview:
Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies. Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Supports the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build. Participates in the implementation of manufacturing plans. Investigates technical problems. Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers.
- Computer proficiency and ability to use and navigate the internet and various computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical data.
- Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Relevant Information and Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
- This position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
- This position is on 1st shift.
