Student Researcher

Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Researcher to join the Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics (CNG).

In this role you will learn about the basics of neuroscience research and observe various lab techniques, such as dissections, genotyping, RNA extractions, and tissue sectioning.

Primary duties include:
Assist in maintaining a clean and ordered laboratory.
Perform dish washing, autoclaving, and making chemical solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must be a current UCLA student

Ability to communicate well and follow instructions.

Ability to perform simple chemical calculations such as molarities and percentage.

Organization skills
