Commissions Clerk

This is a Full-time position in Los Angeles, CA posted January 14, 2022.

Talent management and production company is seeking a Commissions Clerk who will be responsible for depositing a large volume of client receipts, accurately coding and entering them, and turning around any resulting talent payments in a timely manner. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the initiative to research inconsistencies that may arise between client bookings and client payments.


  • Deposit all physical checks with the bank and enter all deposits (checks, ACH’s, and wires) into NetSuite ERP software
  • Code all deposits to the appropriate talent managers and producers
  • Prepare all payables related to client bookings accurately and timely
  • Assist in resolving any inquiries by clients, managers and partners
  • Review and enter all bookings into Client Accounting software
  • Set up payment schedule and revenue recognition within ERP software
  • Responsible for managing client master list and ensuring any changes are updated
  • Work closely with Corporate Finance Team to assist in pulling any support needed for reporting purposes
  • Prepare materials and provide support for internal and external auditors
  • Assist in transition from Datafaction to NetSuite ERP

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable; experience in accounts payable a plus
  • Able to handle high volume/high pressure environment and prioritize duties
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task with close attention to detail
  • Experience in NetSuite or other cloud-based ERP software
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable engaging with all levels of employees
  • Handle company and employee information with integrity and confidentiality
