Clerk, Transportation Office-Anaheim

Overview: This position schedules incoming patient transportation request, compiles encounter data materials and supports dispatchers.

Completes accurate and timely entry of patient service data into the Dispatch systems.

Accountable for preparing the driver schedules for next day, and generating clean and complete data reports and Data Base Management.

Responsibilities: Performs accurate, timely data entry of patient encounter information.Monitors and reconciles daily route verification data.Tracks missing information and/or documentation needed for data entry / verification purposes and returns incomplete documents to appropriate driver for corrections.Ensures appropriate driver and tablet data is identified and coded in dispatching systems.

Learns specific program requirements for procedure and diagnosis coding.Maintains manifest in sequential order of pick-up.Responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database.Monitors and maintains GPS systems and databases.Issues and tracks driver equipment daily.Replace and repair any equipment found defective.Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in departmentPrepares reports, such as inventory balance and shortagesAssists drivers in obtaining their performance reports and ensure accuracy.Maintains and tracks fuel card issuance and filing of receipts.Responsible for managing the day to day maintenance of dispatch and driver devices and tracking systems.Perform OS and application installation of new tablets and tracking devices.Enter daily center outside appointments and logs for the next day.Closes the office for the day.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.Strong knowledge of routing and local area/streets in greater Los Angeles County preferredWell-developed multi-tasking and time/ priority management skills required.High level of computer literacy and data entry skills preferred.Ability to effectively communicate and present information to co-workers and management.Ability to make decisions and function with minimal supervision to resolve issues on a daily basis required.Prior dispatching or scheduling experience preferred.Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.Essential Job Functions of Job Description
