Chemical Research Engineer

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER LOCATION: Norwich, CT DESCRIPTION: My client is a dynamic, rapidly growing specialty chemical production company that produces APIs and solvents.

They are looking for a Process Development Engineer to join their team to support their company headquarters in Centerville CT and a pilot plant that is smaller at the moment, but will be bigger in Norwich, CT.

This person could be located at either one; with their responsibilities including running simulation for new products, preparing presentations, and then scaling up those products from lab to full scale.

My client is offering a generous compensation package including relocation assistance.

REQUIREMENTS: B.S., M.S., or a Ph.D.

in Chemical Engineering 5 years out of a chemicals like pharmaceuticals, resins, petrochemicals, and catalysts Ph.D.

will be considered with 2 years of post doc work using reactors or evaporators Must have a strong track record of technical abilities with lab and field instrumentation Scale up experience would be heavily preferred Some experience with simulation software is required: Dynochem is ideal, but Aspen or SciSim would also be acceptable Some kind of R&D experience would be a big plus Good communication skills are required US Citizens are strongly preferred, but permanent residents will be considered
