The Role

Xos is looking for a talented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a rapidly growing emerging company based in Los Angeles, California. This person is detail – oriented, and comfortable working In a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting around payables, accrued expenses, and purchase orders
  • Work with management and purchasing teams to manage both payables and vendor relationships
  • Assist in the quarterly review and annual financial audit process
  • Perform and manage various analyses such as invoice to PO price variance, days purchases outstanding, and AP aging
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by company management
  • Have a thorough understanding of Audit W-9 and W-8 Series forms
  • Audits and processes colleague expense reports in the accounts payable system
  • Maintains 1099 information, including setting up new vendors
  • Reviews invoices for proper approval by the business departments
  • Prepare accrual for month-end close
  • Prepares and processes weekly payments, via checks, credit cards, ACH, as directed; ensures timely payment to vendors
  • Audit and reconcile credit card payment activity

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma is a required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
  • Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to comply with all company, local, state and federal financial regulations
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of accounts payable in a typical manufacturing company
  • Understanding of business processes used in the payables process of manufacturing companies including documentation control, purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory control
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge preferred
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is highly desirable, but not required
  • Prior experience with Netsuite is preferred, but not required
