Summary:
The Sr. IT business analyst will be responsible for supporting various initiatives, including Curacao’s three-year plan to migrate out of its legacy ERP system, as well as all software implementation and systems integration for both custom and external packages solutions (ERP). Analyzing business operations, accounting and finance processes is desired to arrive with detailed implementation plans. Effectively, the Sr. IT business analyst will be working with business units to design and build out the proper IT requirements, documentation, workflows and business requirements. Experience working with business users through interviews, workshops and brainstorming sessions as well as document and workflow analysis, spreadsheets calculations and formulas analysis with competency in mathematical and consumer finance algorithms in lending/banking industry is required. In addition, the gathering of requirements, writing functional and technical specifications, developing business rules, ensuring alignment with development teams are the key positions’ characteristics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participation in requirements gathering sessions for business applications from initial requirements definition to functional design, through final implementation and QA testing;
- Business analysis and process engineering for multi-departmental initiatives, including accounting and finance formulas, process design, IT requirements, flowcharting (functional specifications, diagram workflow processes and algorithms), prototyping, data analysis, use cases analysis and definitions, testing scenarios and errors handling;
- Co-operation with project stakeholders (executive management, business users, programmers, consultants);
- Define, describe and maintain business requirements and align them with functional and technical requirements;
- Process risk assessment and early problems notification;
Key characteristics:
- Understanding of business processes in consumer finance, lending and retail industries;
- Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills;
- Translate stakeholders’ requirements into functional specifications, user cases, user stories, workflows, process diagrams, data flow and data model diagrams;
- Develop business architecture with scoping and processes definition;
- Build test scenario and conduct multiple levels of testing analysis including functional, regression, user acceptance and integration;
- Identify reconciliations methodologies for various datasets with errors and exception handling;
- Solid written and oral communication skills with all levels of management, field staff, and peers;
- Knowledge of collaboration tools;
- Ensure requirements and business rules are communicated and aligned with software development teams;
- High energy level, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage day-to-day interactions with others;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration or computer science;
- Prior experience (3-5 years) as business analyst;
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis;
- Understanding of database management systems;
- Familiarity with Web application development concepts;
- Familiarity with Web services concepts (SOAP, RESTful, JSON);
- Experience with ERP systems and integration platforms;
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies;
- Exposure to developing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques;

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
