Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is one the largest IT services program for the Navy and U.S.
Marine Corps (USMC), supporting approximately 400,000 seats around the world.
Under SMIT, the SMIT contractor will provide enterprise services to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), Navy-Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) including transport, datacenter, network operations, service desk, cybersecurity, and managed services.
CDW-G will be supporting the SMIT contractor in several of these service areas.
The BMC Discovery / ADDM Consultant must have experience with ARS/ITSM system administration and troubleshooting, CMDB normalization and reconciliation from discovered sources such as ADDM.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Perform discoveries and trouble shoot access issues to systems for discovery.
- Perform updates and upgrades to the Discovery tools.
- Coordinating discovery efforts across multiple regions.
- Ensuring all organizational policies and procedures are followed for all process and application improvement efforts.
- Works directly with Data Stewards across IT regions and domains to coordinate scans and remediate issues.
- Work with ITSM program office to ensure data gathered is consistent with overall program requirements.
Must Have Skills:
- 5+ yrs BMC BMC Discovery / ADDM and BMC Remedy ITSM, which includes:
- 3+ yrs CMDB Reconciliation and integrations of products into the CMDB
- Proven skill with integrating products with the AR System suite
- 2+ yrs hands-on experience with BMC Discovery / ADDM using both out of the box and tuning
- Developing, enhancing and supporting custom TPL’s
- Perform admin and maintenance activities
- Scanning and troubleshooting discovery failures
- Create Discovery reports Upgrade discovery appliances
- Discovery Rest API expertise
- Application modeling operational experience
- Solid understanding of the Service Management market
- Understanding of BMCs technology including but not limited to:
- Integrating multiple BMC products together in an enterprise architecture
- First hand project knowledge of highly available BMC implementations
- DoD Security Clearance (Secret) required
- DOD 8570 Security+ Certification
