– Seattle, WA Job Description Qualifications: The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Quality Engineering Manager based out of multiple locations .

This position will require 10% travel.You will be the Software Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager over a team of SQEs supporting BGS (including AvionX,) BR&T, and BT&E programs.

Primary program locations include Long Beach, St Louis, and Mesa, however this is mostly a virtual position with some minimal travel.

You will interface with Business Unit leads to understand customer requirements, emerging work, and planned SQE work-loads.

You will align SQE team priorities and to address elevated SQE issues.

You will not only manage staffing and performance, but will passionately motivate and lead your team through an organizational change which requires an enhanced level of SQE engagement on programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

    Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Long Beach, CA.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

A final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience supporting software development programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Security Clearance
  • DO-178 experience
  • Agile methodologies
  • Software quality experience
