In this role, you will be responsible for owning the application, redesigning the app, working with sales/marketing teams, to add new features, and transform the to a cloud-based PaaS application.
You will act as a hands-on manager, managing both offshore and onshore teams.
Prior experience with Transportation, Fleet, Logistics, and a similar industry is preferred.

Software Engineering Manager Architect the next generation of features, updates, and platform Lead, guide and manage offshore and onshore engineers to make necessary changes that secure a top market position for the platform; ensure that deadlines are met.
Establish controls and documents the Agile SDLC process for the Engineering team.
Drive continuous improvement in all departmental functions, responsibilities, and processes.
Actively contribute to, and participate in, strategic planning activities with senior staff.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies, product development, and competitive programs within the industry; ensure a continuing leadership position.
Responsible for new feature design and implementation.
Deliver on-time, on-budget implementation of new product features and platforms.
Oversee regular, routine testing of competitive products to establish performance benchmarks against our own products.
Participate in creating the company’s strategic plan.
Requirements: Minimum BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and will consider 12 years’ experience in lieu of education Minimum 6 years of experience in a Software Engineer position.
Experience engineering platforms with multiple API requirements and a track record of success.
Experience programming in cloud-based environments, Azure or AWS acceptable Experience with mapping, routing platforms a strong plus Agile SDLC leadership experience, 3 to 5 years preferred.
Transportation Management Systems (TMS) integration experience a strong plus.
Minimum 3 to 5 years commercial transportation industry experience preferred Logistics software engineering experience, 3 to 5 years preferred.
