As a Web engineer at Tinder, you will have an outsized impact and ownership of the most visible aspects of the Tinder.com progressive web app and other web projects across the company.
We are a small but growing team using modern web technologies to build high quality, performant, and accessible products for our members.
This role can also be based in San Francisco, or Palo Alto, CA.
What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of consumer facing features in the Tinder Web App
- Build compelling and accessible in-app experiences that will reach millions of users globally
- Contribute to our global growth by supporting Marketing & SEO initiatives
- Coordinate with the product and design team(s) influence the roadmap and product development of Tinder App and services
- Create and maintain internal shared frameworks, libraries, and internal tools
- Mentor, collaborate, and learn from innovative and passionate team members
What You’ll Need:
- You possess a deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- You have experience developing complex applications using modern web frameworks, such as React, Vue, etc.
- You’re familiar with progressive web app (PWA) concepts
- You’re passionate about web accessibility and building inclusive experiences for everyone
- You understand the importance of web application performance and are familiar with tools to profile, monitor, and debug performance issues.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with static site generators like Gatsby
- Familiar with SEO concepts
