We are looking for a backend engineer to join our team and help us to build microservices that power our financial products and services, delight our customers and empower our financial planning teams to do their best work.
This role includes development of services in Java running serverless using AWS lambda functions.
The ideal candidate should share our passion for building great software that helps to move peoples’ financial lives forward.
Responsibilities: Developing microservices in Java using AWS lambda functions Taking user stories from idea to implementation including work estimation, collaboration with our product team, development, testing, code review and deployment Actively collaborating with the other engineers on the squad through code reviews, pair programming, interactive design sessions and team retrospectives Developing automated tests as a part of your development process Requirements: 1 years software development experience including experience developing in Java Comfort working with REST APIs to access and retrieve data Experience working in an agile environment such as SCRUM or Kanban is a plus Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience About Edelman Financial Engines Since 1986, Edelman Financial Engines has been committed to always acting in the best interests of our clients.
