Join our passionate, fast-growing team and help us transform the landscape of online shopping.As a Software Engineer you will:Take ownership of the successful implementation and delivery of new features and projects using a variety of modern languages and frameworks such as Golang, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQLActively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the Happy Returns systemEnforce clean code and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviewsActively participate in bi-weekly engineering lunch & learns to promote continuous growth and knowledge sharingCollaborate closely with Product Managers to meet and exceed customer needs in the simplest possible waysHelp us build and maintain a world class technology system so we can achieve our mission of making returns beautiful for Shoppers, Retailers, and the PlanetWe are looking for someone who has:1+ years of experience in web application developmentExperience designing, implementing, and testing REST APIsThe ability to efficiently ship clean, maintainable, and well tested codeA strong interest in joining a highly collaborative environment and working daily with Product Managers, DevOps, and QA EngineersBonus points if you have:1+ years of experience developing and testing web applications end to endExpertise in multiple server-side languages such as Go or PythonProficiency in one or more modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactFamiliarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWSInterest in e-commerce, logistics, and/or sustainabilityDiversityWe believe we work more productively, and our jobs are more enjoyable, when our team includes members with a diversity of backgrounds and life experiences.
