The Role: Join a team of software developers who create new features aligned with AMD’s server platform roadmap.
Implement new algorithms, enable hardware engines to accelerate Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark based workloads.
Work with application engineers on performance characterization, tuning and optimization of software applications for server platforms.
You’ll work on industry-leading server platforms from leading OEMs for on-prem deployments and leading cloud instances.
You’ll work with the open-source communities to develop these features and with leading ISVs to distribute these new features in their distributions.
You will work with customers to deploy these new features and tune them for complex, distributed software applications across multiple industry verticals (for example, among others: databases, telecom, big-data, analytics, financial services, media, entertainment).

Do you contribute code and/or are you a committer/maintainer for open-source frameworks such as Apache Hadoop or Spark projects?
Do you enjoy working with customers to right-size, troubleshoot and fine-tune their deployments for maximum performance?
Do you have strong communication skills to write technical documents for others to use and refer to?
