ChangeUp is a FinTech company hiring a Senior Software Engineer to evolve our enterprise donation platform.
We help eCommerce merchants, platforms (streaming, gaming) and banks integrate micro-donations into the customer experience in ways that are simple and impactful.
We are on an exciting growth curve.
This position will require you to write code in our open source platform, working closely with contracted dev shops.
A smaller but important portion of your time will be dedicated to collaborating with our CEO to define our product roadmap.
Within 12 months, the right person could grow into a CTO.
Our ideal candidate is a creative and highly-collaborative technology professional focused on delivering world-class software.
You are LA-based (or SoCal generally) and willing to work in-person in our Hollywood office at a cadence to be determined.
What you’ll do:
- Write code in our open source platform (node JS, Javascript, PostgreSQL), all on GCP
- Work daily with CEO to define overall product roadmap and strategy
- Lead all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, architecture, execution, deployment and maintenance
- Join client-facing phone calls to collaborate, scope, and develop solutions for them
- Manage contracted development partners
- Oversee technology budget
– allocate resources appropriately, review and approve invoices
What you bring (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree and / or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- You have a love of hands-on software development and writing code and ready to apply those skills to building product
- Radical thinking paired with strong execution
– you can envision a world different than the status quo and articulate a path to get there - Broad experience architecting enterprise-class, cloud-based systems with deep expertise in application development, including mobile technologies and back-end application infrastructure
- Experience leading technical initiatives and managing server infrastructure
What would be awesome to have (Preferred but not required):
- Experience building PCI-compliant systems for banks and / or experience with payments systems
- Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, specifically Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Direct ownership over implementing long-term strategic goals of a technical architecture
- Ability to work in-person on a TBD basis at company’s main office in Hollywood, CA
