Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience, CCNP or ACSP preferred Advanced understanding of LAN, WAN, and internet networking concepts at all layers of the OSI model Familiarity with a wide array of manufacturers network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and PLC products.
Industrial experience a bonus Advanced understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, DNS, Telnet, SSH, FTP, SFTP, SNMP, SMTP, SNTP, DHCP, RPC etc.
Familiarity with Profinet and SCADA networking a bonus Configuration of firewalls, ACLs, and VPN (SSL and IPSEC).
Familiarity with encryption concepts and protocols Implementing network security according to direction/policies provided by Information Security Familiarity with IDS/IPS concepts Familiarity with SDWAN concepts, implementations, and support Advanced understanding of wireless technologies, including bridging and centralized authentication Understanding of link aggregation protocols, i.e Etherchannel, LACP, LAG Architecture of multi-tier datacenter infrastructures.
Experience conducting end-to-end system level design, and building of architecturally sound solutions including overseeing all phases, from inception to production ready applications Capable of simulating or building lab environments for testing and problem analysis.
Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution.
Create network documentation and diagrams Advanced network troubleshooting On call 24×7 support Ability to perform maintenance in early morning shifts when needed.
Able to effectively communicate and work well with diverse teams and vendors Ability to create and analyze system performance metrics, identify technology gaps.
Must be capable of doing independent research to keep up with industry trends and best practices.
Recommend new technologies to adopt/implement.
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and drills of IT Infrastructure Systems and dependent applications
Technical Skills:
Cisco Nexus platform Experience with Cisco and Aruba.
Dell, HP, Antaira, MOXA switches a bonus.
Experience with HPE Aruba products including ClearPass, Mobility Controllers, and Airwave Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls Knowledge of different network medias including single mode/multimode fiber, copper, twinax, SFPs Knowledge of advanced routing, switching, and link aggregation principles Experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure such as HPE Simplivity a bonus Experience with scripting a plus
