Senior Cloud Developer / AWS

Job Description A national data analytics company is in search of a Senior Cloud Developer to motivate and grow the office of the Chief Analytics Office, ultimately benefitting their clients with informed decisions in the insurance, energy, and financial industries. Our client is also a member of the UN Global Compact initiative, host of Innovation campaigns, and is internationally recognized by organizations like Forbes. This role will require a seasoned professional in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in addition to hands-on experience with high-level scripting, API layering, and basic UI development. Moreover, this developer should be familiar with other services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, etc. Responsibilities Plan and execute multiple software development efforts utilizing multiple languages Develop and maintain the Data ETL pipelines to onboard datasets to cloud data platform Develop geospatial data services based on open-source technology Develop API driven services in accordance with business requirement Work with internalexternal customers to solve business problems around geospatial services Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and introduce them as needed Required Skills Experience 8+ years experience in Software Engineering or Development 4+ years experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including IaaS and PaaS services Cloudformation (or Terraform) 4+ years experience in Python and Javascript 3+ years experience in Containerization Tools (Docker preferred) 3+ years experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment (CICD) (Git, Jenkins, etc.) Desired Skills Experience B.S. in Computer Science or Related Study Certification in AWS is preferred Self-starter and analytic mindset Well-versed in written and verbal communication What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 100 Software Development Daily Responsibilities 70 Hands On 30 Technical Collaboration The Offer You will receive the following benefits Medical Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) 401(k) Paid Sick Time Leave Pre-tax Commuter Benefit Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
