We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Automation Engineer who has spent at least three years purely on backend API automation in a microservice environment.

This position is available remotely within the US and/or when it is safe to re-open, can be located in our LA or Bay Area offices.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and automate API tests for software validation, maintain end-to-end API tests and CI stability
- Able to read and understand API documents
- Work with backend developers to help troubleshoot failing tests
- Test and prove that the software meets architectural requirements
- Prove for scalability and performance of a software
- Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole
- Detect bug issues
- Prepare bug reports and test progress
What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of experience as an API SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
- 3+ years of experience testing Backend APIs
- Proven ability to navigate intricate backend environments
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and request/response semantics
- Familiarity with backend JavaScript and/or Node.js
- Ability to debug features as API calls and trace through microservices
- Experience in Unix (Linux, macOS) command-line environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and Microservices
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Jenkins and scripting CI processes
- Experience with Typescript, Jest, or TS-Jest
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger Documentation
- Experience with Protobuf/gRPC Protocol Testing
- Experience with Distributed Tracing (Open Tracing, Jaeger)
- Experience with Mesh Networking
