We are looking for Senior AWS Kafka Developer for our client in Northridge, CA Job Title Senior AWS Kafka Developer Job Location Northridge, CA Job Type Contract Job Description This position will be for a member of an onsite team but may need to work independently with the offshore developers. Will work across multiple departments and teams under tight deadlines to deliver cloud-based solutions, often migrating from on-prem Medtronic Data Lake to AWS, Streaming data from different sources into SnowflakeRed-Shift. The ideal candidate is expected to have practical experience designing and building solutions utilizing Snowflake, Kafka, AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Athena, Lambda, IAM, ECS delivering robust, scalable migration solutions on the cloud. Should work with Medtronic technical(DA) team to migrate their database environments to AWS. This may include, but is not limited to Re-Host database platform on AWS, UpgradeOptimize for AWS, Re-Factor to open source database platform on AWS. Additionally should have demonstrated successful project experience with strong data experience in Database technologies, should be able to analyze on-premises database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like RedShift. Must have skills Understand the phases of the DataLake cloud migration and complexity is provides on interfaces, databases and application configurations. Snowflake API Integration with downstream applications, Python Coding Experience. Understand the nature of testing in the migration process. Has experience in go-live strategies for cloud migrations Skills. Managing timelines in an environment where everybody has a full schedule and priorities need to be set. Should be familiar with Jira and works on an agile environment. AWS Certified Solution Architect certification is preferred for the ideal candidate.
