RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client, a Nationwide Global Technology Company is seeking a few Remote Senior Embedded Software Engineers in Los Angeles, CA, you will work with an outstanding team developing and deploying new technologies on a next-generation satellite networks. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. Summary: You will design, develop, deploy, and support new and innovative technology that will be used on a globally accessible satellite network. Will be involved heavily in networking software development – all the way from design to deployment. This position is 100% remote.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering or other similar field
- 5-8+ years of software engineering experience with coding and debugging skills in C, and C++ on embedded Linux
- At least 5-8 years programming in C
- Unit Testing experience required
- Networking protocol experience like TCP would be ideal
- Deep knowledge of OS features like Multi-threading, synchronization, memory management, and networking on Linux or Linux-like Operating systems
- Experience with bash and Python scripting in Linux
- Demonstrable problem-solving experience in a work environment
- Post-COVID, up to 25% travel to Carlsbad, CA if not currently in the area
Plusses but not required
- Proficient in software development tools, source code control environment (git, perforce)
- Experience designing and implementing networking protocols at the PHY, MAC, transport, and application layers
- Experience with troubleshooting on Linux and go through the layers to understand if the problem is in the system or subsystem or outside
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development environment
- Experience with Modems
- Experience with modern updates to the C++ language (C++14)
- Experience with ARM53 CPUs
- Experience with ARM TrustZone
