Job Description

The VMware Cloud on AWS team is seeking an experienced product manager who is passionate about working with developers to create API guidelines, standards, frameworks and developer related interfaces which enable internal VMware teams, VMware Customers and Partners to integrate with key VMware products and services.

Responsibilities and activities required for this specific role within the Integrations, Partners, and Analytics product management group include:
Product owner for https://developer.vmware.com/ Interacting with customers and partners to understand the technical details of their programmatic requirements Drive API Standards and Governance across VMware SAAS products Define product strategy to create industry leading developer experience Conduct industry research to track automation trends and adapt product strategy accordingly Internal evangelism and guidance of developer use cases and the latest development market trends Drive market leading API and developer features into a SAAS based product Prioritizing requests from multiple sources against business priorities Collaborate with other PMs as an advocate for great developer experiencee, and build developer-friendly features across VMware Cloud products Working across multiple project backlogs to ensure regular development and releases of a variety of developer interfaces Working with an experienced development team to define and produce an API framework which can be used for a variety of products and services Working with development teams to prioritize and release Software Development Kits for a variety of programming languages Working with internal VMware teams to provide programmatic interfaces to their features
What we are looking for:
BS/BA in Computer Sciences, Math, Statistics or related field 5+ years of professional experience in developer interfaces A detailed understanding of what is required from a RESTful API A good understanding of API definition languages such as OpenAPI Specification Proficient in use of Jira to define and prioritize requirements A good understanding of infrastructure automation for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud Experience in developer interfaces and their importance to cloud-based services Ability to handle several concurrent activities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail We’re team players.

For positions located in Colorado: The base salary range is Min $121000
– $218000.
