Responsible for long-term performance, goals, development of strategies and growth opportunities for the organization.

Forecast and resolve the most complex organizational issues, and ensure compliance with strategic corporate and operating policies.

Serve as a key figure in development and implementation of strategic planning, staffing and operations for the organization.

Demonstrate leadership and vision to lead a post-acute care organization as a service leader and partner within a dynamic health care system.

Lead and direct the organization toward its primary objectives, utilizing knowledge and skills within a team environment.

Establish current and long-range objectives, plans and policies, subject to the approval by the board of trustees and other enterprise leaders.

Dispense advice, guidance and direction, and provide authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established polices and board approval.

Oversee the adequacy and soundness of the enterprise financial structure and make recommendations as needed or directed.

Review operating results of the enterprise, comparing them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure the implementation of appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory results.

Must be able to represent the organization with physicians, major customers, shareholders, the financial community and the public.

Must be able to promote cooperation and/or collaboration between residents, healthcare departments and/or system entities.

Must be able to encourage a positive working interrelationship with individuals, agencies, healthcare facilities, and/or institutions.

Must actively participate in local, state, regional and national activities which enable departments, hospital, long term care, and/or individuals to grow, plan for change, adapt and accept change consistent with short
– and long-range goals.

Must possess general knowledge in numerous areas to manage the complexity of a long term care organization and its relationship as a healthcare entity.

Must be aware of trends in health care, operation of post acute care and long term care departments, legislation, education and finance.

Qualifications Masters degree required.

Health Administration or healthcare related field preferred.

Five years executive management experience.
