30hours per week – 4 months long – W2 only Looking to hire one (1) Front End HTML5 Developer on a part-time basis to assist with the development and implementation of an HTML5 website. The Contractor will be responsible for providing assistance with requirements analysis, coding and testing for HTML5 sites. The Contractor will work with a team consisting of staff, technical and business, at all levels, to overhaul and migrate an old website to the new website. The contractor must be able to provide expert Website design and development consulting by possessing the qualifications listed below Duties will include, but not be limited to Develop HTML5 web siteapplication based on Bootstrap 4 framework Develop custom modules and scripts where necessary Implement or utilize APls where necessary Author and maintain high fidelity prototype and process flowchart Author and maintain documentation for code as well as develop functional specifications and technical documentation Work collaboratively within a team of UX designer and developer(s) in order to ensure that solid code is delivered within reasonable timelines Working with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats with internal and external teams Perform code reviews of work produced by other members of the development team Cross-platform compatibility Debug problems, using knowledge of multiple browsers Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Ability to write secure, reusable and easily maintainable code that adheres to software development best practices. Deploy the website in an AWS environment Provide necessary training to in-house development staff as needed Required Qualifications The contractor must be able to perform the work of a Front End HTML5 Developer, and be able to provide expert Website design and development consulting by having the qualifications listed below Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent IT work experience Minimum 5 years of web development experience with large organizations Minimum 3 years professional experience with HTML5, Bootstrap 4, CSS and JavaScript Minimum 3 years experience working with AWS websites Required HTML5 Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years programming experience Minimum 2 years experience with developing custom modules Analyzing and resolving security issues arising from site configuration and custom code Experience with Automated Testing Experience on configuring HTML5 websites based on the Bootstrap 4 framework Other Required Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of HTML5, Bootstrap 4, and JavaScript Experience in API development using different IDEs and integration Experience with editing tool Experience in GitHub Version Control Proficient with Windows and Command Line Interface Website hosting using AWS Other Preferred Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years of web development experience using PHP and REACT Familiarity with the development and maintenance of responsive and accessible websites using the latest W3C web standards and ADA Section 508 guidelines Strong QA skills – able to review work and thoroughly test code Possess a willingness to transfer skills to team members Possess a willingness and attitude to help customers find workable solutions Analyze and resolve site performance issues arising from site configuration and custom code Ability to assess business requirements and efficiently design, develop, and implement software solutions to meet those needs Solid understanding of web application development on the AWS platform
