The Boeing Commercial Airplane Fleet Chief Offices are seeking ambitious Mid-Level Systems Engineers with a desire to take ownership of resolving a portfolio of complex in-service issues, known as Service Related Problems (SRP).

As a member of the BCA Customer Support organization in Seal Beach, CA., your mission will be to lead cross organizational teams through timely and first time quality resolutions of the safety and top economic issues associated with our fleets.

In this role ?

you will have the opportunity to help resolve systems, structures, and operational issues across the entire airplane as well as interact with customers, suppliers, and expert engineers and leadership throughout BCA.

This requisition is primarily acquiring support for the 787, 777, 767, and 737 fleet chief offices.

Position Responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers Develops Statement of Work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements Builds and actively manages integrated project schedules on multiple projects using project/program management best practices Presents to internal and external customers as needed to gain advocacy, authority to proceed, and/or share progress.

Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.

Identifies and manages to business performance metrics and targets Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.

Defines plans for risk/issue mitigation and opportunity capture Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans Works under general supervision

This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a ?US Person?

as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 1+ year(s) experience leading/managing technical projects 1+ year(s) experience leading cross functional teams or projects Must be willing to support occasional non-standard working hours as needed to engage with global customers or stakeholders

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):
Project Management Certification (ex.

PMP) Experience building and managing to integrated project plans, schedules and/or budgets Experience working with commercial airplane systems or structures disciplines within design, maintenance or service engineering

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
