SUMMARY LANES is an independent, non-profit organization charged with developing a health information exchange (HIE) for all healthcare providers that provide care to Los Angeles County residents.
LANES is a public-private collaboration of healthcare organizations in Los Angeles with the mandate to aggregate patient clinical information from all care delivery organizations and provide authorized clinicians with quick, reliable, and secure access to patient longitudinal health records from different EHR systems.
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and team-oriented Lead Developer to be part of the technical team to provide operations and technical support to LANES.
The Lead Developer will provide operational and technical support to LANES with responsibility for software development of the LANES Platform.
Provides day-to-day analysis of HIE development activities, including systems functions, report analysis, and monitoring of quality standards.
Provides technical development support for any issues or concerns with the Mirth Connect platform, document solutions and provide updates to all parties.
Clearly understands the mission of the LANES and demonstrate exceptional customer service to all LANESrsquo participants and team members.
Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to support program objectives.
This is a virtual home-based position.
Will be required to attend in-person meetings in the Los Angeles area on an as-needed basis, usually at least once per month.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS bull Provide user experience guidance and support of current and future designs to ensure scalability and availability to increase user satisfaction bull Oversee all user experience satisfaction and issues for each participant and provide analysis of NextGen (Mirth)rsquos tools and LANES tools bull Provide day to day support of HIE development operations and activities, including reports, technical assistance, client support, help desk and utilization reports bull Develop better support business processes and objectives using an array of mythologies that align to best practices in the market bull Ensure expectations are aligned and projects are completed on-time and delivered with the expected value to end user stakeholders bull Define and execute on an established SDLC with process improvements bull Report directly to the CTO bull Participate in functional and technical requirements gathering and review bull Develop inbound and outbound interfaces based on HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, X12, FHIR, and other standards bull Collaborate with quality assurance team to reproduce and test defects, and validate corrections made to those defects bull Serve as a senior resource to technical support staff when operational issues are escalated bull Contribute to technical project documentation bull Log time each week in corporate time-tracking system bull Travel on occasion, to customer and partner sites bull Maintain company information confidential at all times bull Take on other responsibilities and assignments from time to time as requested by management NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS bull Other duties as required to ensure LANES operations are successful JOB QUALIFICATIONS Minimal Qualifications bull BABS or equivalent work experience in Computer ScienceInformation Technology bull Seven (7) years of experience in information system across diverse application areas and technologies and methodologies bull Four (4) years of experience working in team environments and implementing healthcare related systems dealing with HL7Clinical data in a distributed environment bull Two (2) years of experience in vendor services environment bull Two (2) years of experience EMRs bull Two (2) years of experience managing clients bull Ability to work with minimal supervision bull Ability to adopt best in class processes and tools bull Experience with clinical data driven quality and functionality bull Excellent communication and written skills in a clinical space bull Experience working with healthcare standards such as HL7, XDS, and FHIR.
