Enterprise Cloud Database Manager

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Manager for Systems Operations and Cloud Operations, the Enterprise Cloud Database Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations for some of our most critical system database platforms.

The platforms include: Cache, Oracle, SQL and DB2.

In this role, you will provide technical guidance and support for our database teams, innovative solutions for how we can possibly optimize or consolidate our database standards as well as provide guidance on how we can take advantage of database cloud offerings from various cloud platforms.

Because you will be well-versed in these database solutions and have an extended intimate knowledge of supporting large Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) in an enterprise setting, you will deploy, maintain, and oversee large RDBMs databases in a cloud setting.

Qualifications

4+ years of in-depth experience in the design, administration, programming, and support of RDBMSs/MDDBMSs (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle,DB2) in one or more computing environments (e.g., Windows, Unix)
4+ years of in-depth experience in the design, administration, programming, and support of Cache for Epic
4+ years of experience as a DBA in one or more environments is highly desirable (preferably with RDBMSs) or strong, demonstrated DBA skills earned in equivalent experience
Thorough understanding of the relational database model and solid theoretical knowledge of relational database techniques
Experience in designing, modeling, developing, and supporting large RDBMSs
Extensive experience in logical and physical database design, hands-on data modeling techniques, and development methodology; physical schema design of table spaces, rollback segments, and data files
Experience assessing data storage and access needs, creating and maintaining databases, and upgrading database systems and software
Experience developing emergency data storage and retrieval plans
Experience managing data backup operations
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with Power BI is recommended but not required
2+ years of experience managing a large team supporting critical EMR and related Databases
Must have a working knowledge of database languages, such as MySQL
Well-versed in different types of security programs
Knowledge of project management processes to oversee database development and operations
