For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Phantom Works creates the next generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business and is currently looking for an Associate Model Based System Engineer (Level 2) to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space.

Phantom Works focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers.

Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

We are seeking an Associate Model Based System Engineer with experience in satellite systems to work in a rapid development environment.This engineer will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including architecture development, requirements definition, analysis and decomposition, software and hardware system design, algorithm design, risk management, integration, test, and operations.

The successful candidate will be helping with system level requirements, design, development, verification, and operations activities.

This position allows some telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S.

Top Secret/SCISecurity Clearance (U.S.

Citizenship Required).

(A U.S.

Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Investigation must have been completed in the last 5 years.

Boeing Security will validate clearance level.

Position Responsibilities:Focal for MBSE and CONOPS activities.Analyze system trade studies and provide briefings.Collaborate with customers and internal multi-disciplinary teams.Help with requirements, functional decomposition, system verification, validation, integration and test planning and execution (including functional validation as well as formal requirements sell-off).Conduct risk reduction activities and issue resolution.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or Engineering.Experience with MBSE tools.Experience in system engineering requirements, functional decomposition, verification, and validation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in rapid prototyping activities with small spacecraft.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
