Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer Learning Labs to join the BDS Home Office located in Mesa, AZ, Seal Beach, CA, Berkeley, MO, or Fairfax, VA, Huntsville, AL, Oklahoma City, OK.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
Learning Labs is in needed of an engineer that is versed in Software for automating tools and integration of training materials in a learning environment being developed and will need to be maintained.
This position allows telecommuting and does require applicants to live in either of the listed location options: Mesa, AZ, Seal Beach, CA, Berkeley, MO, Fairfax, VA, Huntsville, AL, or Oklahoma City, OK full-time.
Position Responsibilities: Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsDevelops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software systemDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metPerforms software project management and software supplier management functionsDevelops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.
Executes and documents software research and development projects.Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.Works under general direction This position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):2 years working knowledge in Python2 years working experience with Java, C, or C++1 year experience with Software development processes Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1 year teaching experienceSAFe Program Consultant (SPC)1 year mentoring experience Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel:Travel will be required 20% Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
